Transportation of dangerous goods is a type of special transportation. It refers to the transportation of special vehicles by special organizations or technicians for unconventional items. Generally, it can only be qualified for dangerous goods transportation after being strictly examined by relevant state functional departments and having the corresponding facilities and equipment that can ensure the safe transportation of dangerous goods.

Recently, the Ministry of Communications issued a notice on strengthening the construction of a safety supervision system for road transport of dangerous goods. The notice requires that by 2020, the national road safety supervision system for dangerous goods will be basically completed, and the pattern of “network supervision, precise supervision, professional supervision and coordinated supervision” will be basically formed by means of informationization, and the safety supervision capability will be significantly improved.

#What must be done by the dangerous goods shipper when handling the consignment

1. It is necessary to carry out consignment to the transport unit that has obtained the qualification for the transportation of dangerous goods on the road;

2. The name, specification, weight, number of pieces, packing method, date of shipment, detailed address of the consignee and consignor, and precautions during transportation must be filled in the consignment note;

3. Dangerous goods that are incompatible with the nature of the cargo or the method of extinguishing the fire must be checked separately;

4. For dangerous goods with special requirements or voucher transportation, relevant documents must be attached and indicated in the remarks column of the consignment note;

5. Consignment of new dangerous goods that are not included in the “Dangerous Goods Classification List” must be submitted to the “Dangerous Goods Identification Form”. If the dangerous goods transport consignment is not handled in accordance with the above provisions, the shipper shall bear full responsibility for the transportation accident.

#Booking process

1--booking

Basic information should be provided when booking dangerous goods, such as UN NO. Dangerous goods grade, packaging category, MSDS, etc. The shipping company will accept bookings based on other relevant documents that need to be presented under different cargo names.

For example, the United Nations number UN2880 dangerous goods also need to produce a survey report (Survey report); UN number is UN1057, dangerous goods classified as 2.1 class goods also need to produce a Gas Free Certificate. Some special dangerous goods are also required to submit a Technical Description or MSDS Material safety data sheet.

2--If the dangerous goods need to be transported in the freezer, please submit the application to the freezer at the same time.

Dangerous goods require warehouses with dangerous goods qualifications, or fleets with dangerous goods qualifications to make trailers. Due to the need to declare dangerous goods, the team can't do it. You need to find another warehouse to declare the goods, so it is recommended to do the interior.
